ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Equipped with a powerful 12 amp motor, this easy-to-use SteamVac cleans carpets by applying, scrubbing, and removing hot tap water and cleaning solution. The unit’s wide path provides 20-percent more brushing and cleaning action. The innovative and efficient heated cleaning forces hot air from the motor directly into the carpet, making the solution and brushes work more efficiently. Run the unit back over your carpet without a rinse to accelerate dry time with the hot air.
The cleaner’s Dual V Technology produces equal suction across the entire cleaning path and removes more water than any other brand. The separate clean/dirty water departments are both large enough to allow you to make fewer trips back and forth to the sink. The detergent has a separated compartment so any leftovers can easily be returned to your detergent container and reused the next time you clean. Patented SpinScrub rotating brushes gently loosen dirt and clean all sides of the carpet fiber, plus they pop out and are easy to rinse clean as needed.
Choose from three speeds for a variety of cleaning tasks–spill pick-up mode, gentle scrub mode, or power scrub mode. On-board tools include an 8-foot hose for long reach, a removable tool caddy for easy storage, and a SpinScrub powered handheld tool for upholstery and stairs. Why continually rent expensive carpet cleaners, when you could buy your own? You will be amazed at the professional level of clean you can achieve with a Hoover carpet cleaner. This unit measures approximately 20 by 12 by 44 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

I am absolutely AMAZED by this thing. My husband got me a puppy for Christmas, now a month and 1/2 later, my carpet looked like it was done for. He has very (tmi sorry) watery feces and seems to never have solid poos except in the morning. Well as you can imagine, this always seemed to just soak right into my carpet leaving stains EVERYWHERE. The two worst areas being my stairwell, and by the back door. I borrowed my best friends Bissell Pet Proheat, didn’t make even a dent in the stains. I saw all the wonderful reviews for this one and figured I would give it a try. BEST DECISION EVER!!!! my carpet looks brand new. The best feature about this shampooer is the fact it has 2 tanks. One for clean water, and one for dirty. With the Bissell, you have one. Therefore after a few sweeps, you’re cleaning your carpet with dirty water. The only possible flaw I could come up with in this shampooer is the fact you have to empty/refill the tanks so often. But I would so much rather do that than be cleaning my carpet with dirty water. And this thing is HEAVY. Obviously, it’s got water in it, it’s going to be heavy. However, my arms are sore from just doing one small room. And with doing just one small room, I have had to refill/empty the tanks 5-6x. I read that in reviews and thought There’s absolutely NO WAY I will have to refill it that many times….well I’m here to tell you…..get ready to. But I PROMISE, the refilling is so beyond worth it after you have completely clean, beautiful soft and stain free carpet again!!!

Good non-industrial grade shampooer

UPDATE _ _ OCTOBER 31, 2016 – -I have had this a year now. We will be buying a new machine within the next month. The clean water tank never latched into place. It was more of a drop it in and it would just kind of “catch and hold”. Well, one day, it didn’t catch nor hold, and it popped off, full of water, and shattered like plastic does. A replacement HANDLE is $10, a replacement tank is $50 and higher. While I cannot complain about the job it did, but I have a long haired pet, and those short bristles just didn’t scrub like I wanted, and when the dog hair the vacuum didn’t get got into and around the bristles, well, job not well done. Cleaning the front piece, where the water comes into and over what I call the hood, was literally, on my knees with a butter-knife, inventing curse words adequate enough to express the frustration of being unable to get it clean. Only cleans going forward, sucks water up going backwards. You have to move it side to side to scrub a tough spot up. The cord could be at least three feet longer. STILL love the two tank system and will never buy another that does not have this feature.

I recently moved into a house that is completely full of carpet and, coming from a house full of hard floors, we were woefully unprepared. After being impressed with Hoover vacuum cleaners, I decided to buy a Hoover carpet cleaner. Long story, short, I settled on this particular model and was annoyed to find that nobody had it in stores. Amazon had it for the same price as WalMart, but I tend to trust Amazon more. This is a wonderful carpet cleaner. It’s powerful and definitely helpful in a house full of dogs and cats. A huge tip to anyone that buys this carpet cleaner, DO NOT FORGET TO EMPTY THE DIRTY WATER TANK. Even if the tank isn’t full, it will start to smell and, the next time you use it, the smell will permeate everything. After every use, I empty the tank and rinse it out and I haven’t had the smell problem since then.

Almost Perfect

I have owned this carpet cleaner for a few months now. I wanted to make sure I had used all the features before making a review. There are 6 in my home including 4 children. We also have 2 cats; one long hair and one short hair. I vacuum often and clean my carpets every 6 months or so on my own. I used this cleaner first to clean the carpet in my family room and living room. It was easy to set up and get started. I noticed it moved smoothly and was not too loud. I finished the family room (which is of average size) before needing to change the water and add more soap. However, I had barely started on the living room before needing to add more soap again. And then again. Turns out the water container had not seated properly and I had been cleaning with soap only. It took several tries before getting the container seated properly to clean with soap and water. By this time I was also getting a blister on my hand from the handle. The two pieces of the handle are put together and have a groove between them that was rubbing. I finally had to put some old weight lifting gloves on to be able to finish. Yes, it is put together all the way. The size of the groove is how it is designed to be. I did finally finish my carpets and they looked wonderful. This cleaner picked up way more water than my old one so the carpets dried faster. I also like how easy it is to clean out the dirty water container. A few weeks later I cleaned the carpet on my stairs with the attachment. I had no problem getting the water seated correctly this time. Not sure if that came from experience or breaking the machine in. The attachment is wonderful. Decently large, agitating brush, sprays and sucks at the same time. The hose is a decent length; could be a bit longer but wasn’t too much of a problem.

I bought this product to replace an earlier version, that after many many years and lots of use, died. I have a dog so I shampoo my rugs more often than most to keep the rugs from holding odors. There are a few negatives; like the previous version the water container does leak when tipped in a certain direction. Also to secure the container after filled with water requires hitting it rather firmly to snap back in place. Its also not easy to clean the front bottom section that pulls the water out of the rug. That being said it does a great job of cleaning and for the price was for me a good choice.

I’ve had a few carpet cleaning machines in the past. The last one, which happened to be a Hoover Agility, really sucked. But not in a good way. That one left a lot of wetness in the carpet and wasn’t worth a darn.

Easy and powerful!

Machine is a little difficult to clean after cleaning the carpets but it does an amazing job on the floors. I have 3 German Shepherds and my oldest has urinary incontinence so I had some pee spots on my bedroom floor. I’ve lived in my house for 7 years and not had the floors shampoo’d in that time either. This shampooer did wonders on the carpet, looks almost like new and the urine smell is gone. With 3 German Shepherds in the house there was still hair on the floors even after vacuuming multiple times before using the shampooer. So when it came time to clean everything, it was a little difficult. I ended up needing to use a toothpick to get everything out. Regardless, I would recommend this product to anyone in need of an at home carpet cleaning. It is well worth the money.

Even though I purchased mine “nearly new” (opened, but never used), I was AMAZED at how well the Hoover MaxExtract Dual V worked on my carpets! When I moved into the home I rent, I was told the carpets were cleaned. Umm, no. The lady before me had cats, too. YUK! I was excited to get a Hoover, since I had owned a Bissell for years until it quit squirting the solution and water. :*( I had something to compare the Hoover to ..
