Helena's Most Unique Health, Fitness And Excercise Club
Nestled at the foot of the Scratch Gravel Hills, the Broadwater Athletic Club ( 4920 Highway 12 West ) is a full service club with three hot spring-fed pools and everything you'd expect - plus more - from a fitness and recreation center.
The Broadwater's most unique feature, its hot spring-fed pools, attract casual to serious swimmers, fitness freaks and kids having fun. Temperatures range from a comfortable 88-92 degrees in the winter and a 92-96 degrees in the summer. There's nothing a swim or soak in the warm water when the temperature drops and the pools steam with delight. One pool, the lap pool, is reserved for adult swimmers and walkers only.
Offerings at the club are diverse, ranging from the traditional - weights, cardio, indoor walking/running and cycling, racquetball, handball - to professionally designed personal training programs, private swim lessons, a climbing wall and tanning booths.
A full menu of group fitness classes include yoga, pilates, dance and zumba, strength, and body building. Aquatics programs include water fitness and AquaLogix classes.
The club is currently building a massage room that will be available to members as well as the public.
In addition to its pools, the clubs's showers are also fueled by the warm, spring fed water.
With its Adventure Zone, swims pools, water slide and climbing wall, the club is also a popular spot for kids' birthday parties. As the parent of a 12-year-old, I can attest that the Broadwater has an allure over kids - there's no place mine would rather be in the summer. The club also offers drop-off child care.
The Broadwater has a range of memberships, including days passes, punch cards, and monthly to yearly individual and family memberships. The club frequently offers specials, such as waiving initiation fees, and offers discounts to state employees (which is a pretty deal in the state capitol).
A second location (607 North Lamborn), Helena's only handicapped accessible health club, offers cardio and strength equipment, group fitness classes, indoor cycling, and freemotion equipment as well as childcare to make using all of the equipment easier. The East Side Club is especially popular with state employees, most of who are located within a few blocks of the facility.

Is it a lie to get interviewed for a job and then be told there are no more positions available?
A while back i was interviewed by Sears for a sale position when I was only 16. After being interviewed for Fitness and Equipment and feeling good about it, the man interviewing me showed me the area he said i would work in, and he asked me if i was interested. I told him i was absolutely interested, so once we got back to his office he told me to have a seat, and after leaving for about 5 minutes he came back and told me he was sorry and that there were not positions available. So... do you think the man who interviewed me lied, or do they usually interview people for a position that is not available? I am interviewing tomorrow (about a year later from when i originally interviewed), and i would just like to know how to feel going into this interview... did i mess something up the first time or was there really a lack of openings? they had a now hiring sign..
