I have never owned gouache paints before, and I am enjoying them very much. They come in 2 plastic cases with a nice little brush, and the colors are clearly labeled. I would recommend these paints to others, as the colors are very rich. This is, I believe, a very good quality paint at an affordable price. Bravo!

True to the Sennelier standard of excellence, these lovely little tubes of color are a pleasure to use. The color is rich and the flow is quite consistent from bare tint to thick squishy washes. Would highly recommend to anyone sitting on the fence. I am using them as a professional artist in a series of studies and for original work. Great set at a wonderful price.

Great Gouache Starter Set

My teenaged artist daughter (soon to be a University art student) discovered some old tubes of gouache in her grandmother’s art box and began experimenting with the delightful and frustrating medium. Gouache allows one to create bold, flat colors but it is highly unforgiving medium that doesn’t allow for second-guessing. And working with 20-year tubes didn’t enhance my daughter’s experience, so a set of fresh colors was at the top of her Christmas list. Though the tubes are on the small side (a concession for the affordable price) these are high-quality pigments and the range of colors is more than adequate.

I am using the French Opaque Water Colors for teaching my 2nd & 3rd grade home school art class. I think the colors are great and I do not consider them a “toy”, they are part of my work. I think they are great and easy for the kids to use.

These seem to be pretty good quality paints compared to things like $8 sets that are garbage. Tons of colors for ridiculously less.

This is an excellent paint set. Colors are vibrant. Brush included is of good quality. Not sheer like a watercolor unles you water down alot-so you get two paints in one tube. Fine for both children and beginner adults.
