Straps are difficult to adjust, but overall a good car seat

Overall this is a good car seat. It gets great safety reviews and my kid finds it comfortable. The cover is easy to remove and clean. The car seat sits up rather high so it’s easier for my kid to see out of the window. He also doesn’t sweat as much in this as he did in his infant seat, which I attribute to the material.

Couldnt have picked a better seat!

I could not have picked a better carseat! As a first time mom I was unsure of exactly what I wanted in a seat. After deciding on this one I am extremely happy with my decision. This carseat has a cushion on both sides of her head that move up and down super easily. The straps are so easy to adjust for my growing daughter and the cover is pretty easy to take off and wash when needed. I love that it has the cup holder so her drinks do not fall over and leak. It is also so easy to install with the latch system, I was very scared of trying to install this when we first got it. Once I actually took a minute to discover how it worked it was SO EASY! The buckles are very easy when getting her in and out and the bottom one has a guard on it so her legs do not get pinched, which is nice. I have had this seat for about a year not and could not be happier with it.

I was recently in a car accident and have been looking at different car seats to buy my 2 month old to replace the one he was in during the crash. We had the Graco Snugride (which is a removable carrier with a base in the car) and I liked that one. But, since the accident, I have become a basket case about safety. My children were not hurt, but all I can keep thinking is “what if the accident had been worse”. So i spoke with many friends, posted in forums and got tons of suggestions. Britax was the most recommended model and I almost bought one. A good friend of mine had suggested the Maxi Cosi Pria 70 and I decided to do a little research and check it out. I was impressed with my research and decided to go out on a limb and buy a brand that I am not familiar with.

Maxi cosi vs orbit baby

I love this car seat! It took me a while to decide between the Maxi Cosi Pria and the Orbit Toddler car seat. Previously I had the orbit baby infant car seat and loved how convenient it was not only for traveling but for getting baby in and out. After researching and looking at Custer reviews I was really sad to see how bad of reviews Orbit received. Because of that I decided to get the Maxi Cosi Pria and am so happy I did!

Not so good forward facing

I loved this seat while it was rear facing. Now that my son is forward facing I understand some of the reviews I had read. The strap to pull tight is so difficult to pull tight. While it was rear facing I would always pull slack from the back, which was exposed and easy to access. Now that he’s forward facing the back is no longer exposed. It seems nearly impossible to pull tight. My husband who is 6’4 and nothing but muscle has a terrible time with it. He has the seat in his truck which we rarely use. I plan on contacting Maxi Cosi because not bring able to tighten straps is s HUGE downfall. I love the material and padding, it’s very soft and smooth. Great seat as long as you’re child is rear facing. For the price of these you should be able to use it as described, convertible.

Baby loves it AND ships to APO

We have been using this with our 13mo old for about a month now and I love it. She falls asleep so quickly when she’s in it. She got sick in it once (my fault, yoghurt before a car trip is now a known no-no) and all of the pieces came off easily so that I could wash them.

Best car seat we have ever owned

Best car seat we have ever owned, I can’t say enough good things about it… Sometimes I wish it had 2 cup holders but we definitely used the 1 cup holder and really like how soft the car seat is. Baby is so comfortable he almost doesn’t want to leave the car seat and when tired and on long trips he falls asleep right away and stays asleep. We have tested many car seats and there are only a couple that compare to this one. It’s a great choice, rest assured knowing your baby is safe and comfy.

My baby used to have a Chicco car seat, and she used to cry when we were 5 minutes down the road. Now she is asleep almost as soon as she’s buckled in! It’s sooo cushiony, we love it! I hesitated before I got it because it’s pretty pricey, but it’s sooo worth it!

Great seat but bulky straps.

I have this seat in brown. I love the color because it matches with the tan leather seats of my SUV. It is super easy to install and to take in and out of the car. I doesn’t take a whole lot of room. My seat is in the middle back seat and two people can seat comfortably on each side. My baby is super comfy and doesn’t complain like he used to in his bucket seat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the plastic thing that buckles across the chest is quite big and bulky bit doesn’t seem to bother my son which is a plus and because the cushion around the strap that goes between his legs. It seems bulky and sometimes gets caught when you try to buckle the seat. I guess those are not huge problems. Overall this is a great seat and wed had it over a year so far.

Love this car seat — soft and cozy. A bit of a pain to take of the covers in order to clean it (car-sick kid), but I think all car seats would be like that.
