Plain and simple. It all boils down to will power. Eat natural, eat a lot of protein, and eat your vegetables. For exercise, you want to avoid the zombie-like treadmill exercises. Instead use free weights like barbells and dumbells. High rep of 12 to 20 and 5 sets. Short rests between sets. 90 seconds the most. Here is the typical diet that I consume. I am a 17 year old 6'0" and 204 lb male. Breakfast: (Around 9-10 PM) 0.5 cup oats 1 apple cut up 1 banana 1 cup of milk Weight lifting (3x a week) and 30 minutes jogging (every day, and after weightlifting on Mon/Wed/Fri) Lunch: (Around 4 PM) Milk Chicken/Fish/Meat 1 cup rice tomato, onion, cucumbers and vinegar mixed up Salad Dinner and snacks: (Around 7-9 PM): Milk 200 calories pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds 100 calories almonds 100 calories walnuts 1 piece of white bread (1 serving) 1 tbsp cottage cheese or peanut butter Due to my schedule I cannot eat lunch before 5 PM. The milk is skim milk. On Mondays, after lunch I will do 1 hour of light cardio On Wednesdays, after lunch I will do 3 hours of light cardio On Fridays, after lunch I will do 1 hour of light cardio. I am trying to lose 20 lbs of fat, and have been trying to for a year but I'm not getting progress for some reason. I cannot change my meal times, because I am unable to eat while I am doing said tasks between that time frame.

My friend started doing P90X a little over 2 months ago. He feels a lot stronger, but none of his fat seems to be going away. His diet is about the same, if not better than before. He is taking protein shakes as well I figure he's probably not following the diet portion of P90X, figuring the workout portion will do it all for him.

I know that the Cohen diet involves getting a blood test but my friend read an article about how a woman signed up for the Cohen programme and she followed the plan and cooked everything right. She also served the food to her husband and although he hadn't had his blood tested to give him a suitable plan, he lost a lot of weight too. After this my friend did more research on the recipes and just tried it herself without a given plan and in a month she has lost over a stone.
