Top 25 Sexiest 90's Songs For A Wedding Party

What makes a great 90's wedding reception party? Lots of bad dancing, of course! But while you can't turn your guests into Madonna's backup dancers, you can at least set their gyrations to some of the sexiest songs of the 90's. Whether you like slow-dancing to angst-filled love songs or shoopin' to club favorites, you can pump up the volume and play some of these great songs at your wedding reception party while watching everyone vogue to Madonna or attempt their sexiest catwalk strut to Right Said Fred's shirtless anthem:

'What is Love?' by Haddaway - Turn your wedding into a night at the Roxbury, 90's style, with Haddaway's head-bobbing hit. Despite becoming part of one of the most popular sketches of 'Saturday Night live', this still remains one of the sexiest songs to play at a party and one that will definitely make guests smile. Plus it asks a question that many couples find the answer to after their wedding.

'Smooth' by Santana featuring Rob Thomas - Two 90's icons come together in an unexpected but blissful blend of 90's alternative rock and Latin flavor. The result is one of the sexiest songs of the 90's that's perfect for a hot summer wedding party.

'Whatta Man' by Salt-N-Pepa - A bride will likely want a lot of sweet songs singing her praises played at her wedding, but the groom deserves a little lovin' too! So show him that you're glad he's not a fake wannabe trying to be a pimp at your wedding reception party with this spicy 90's song by Salt-N-Pepa.

'Bitch' by Meredith Brooks - Here's a 90's song for the bridesmaids to dedicate to the bridezilla at the wedding reception party (the groom could also dedicate it to her, but I wouldn't recommend it). It's also one of the best female empowerment songs you can play at a party to get women screaming the chorus and banging their heads, and it's also a good excuse for acting totally irrational.

'No Diggity' by Blackstreet - Hey yo, this song feels good! This is definitely one of the sexiest, smoothest songs of the 90's, but one you should only play if you don't mind Aunt Mildred blushing a little at your wedding reception party.

'Vogue' by Madonna - Have fun striking poses in your wedding gown like you're gracing the cover of a magazine to one of Madonna's sexiest songs of the 90's. To make your wedding even more fun, you can have a voguing contest where the bride and groom get to be the judges (just imagine, your first argument as a married couple could be over whether your cousin Al poses more elegantly than Grandma Sue.)

'Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)' by C&C Music Factory - I love this song even more for being a part of one of the sexiest episodes of 'The Office' ever. And if you know what episode I'm talking about, you can expect to see a lot of similar dancing at your wedding reception party.

'I'm Too Sexy' by Right Said Fred - Perhaps this is a song more suited for the bachelorette party, and it might be too sexy for your wedding party, but it sure would be fun to make the guys at the wedding reception have a good ol' fashioned catwalkoff. Just make sure they leave the removing of the shirts up to the guy that's too sexy for his cat.

'Slide' by the Goo Goo Dolls - And now on a more serious note, this song is about running away and getting married, so it's perfect for a wedding party when you want to slow things down a bit.

'Iris' by the Goo Goo Dolls - I can't help myself; the Goo Goo dolls are just great at writing slightly gothic, romantic songs that were way ahead of the 'Twilight' angst-filled crowd.

'My Lovin' by En Vogue - And back to the fun 90's songs. This song is the perfect tease, performed by one of the sexiest groups of female artists ever. Let's just hope that when it comes to the bride and groom, the lyrics aren't true.

'California Love' by 2pac - California knows how to party, and this is one of 2pac's many songs that proves it. Of course it's best if your wedding party is in Cali, but there's nothing wrong with California dreamin' 2pac style.

'Pony' by Ginuwine - Other than that weird, belch-like sound and a few naughty lyrics, this would make a fun wedding party song. Just keep in mind that not everyone will appreciate it's not-so-subtle message.

'Don't Want to Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith - You can call it cheesy, but this actually is one of the most romantic, heartfelt songs of the 90's and one that can make the bride feel extremely special at her wedding reception party (unless she's seen 'Armageddon', of course).

'Unbelievable' - High-pitched vocals, piano, and a few "Ohs!" somehow make this one of the best songs of the 90's. It might be a stretch calling it one of the sexiest, but it is one of the most fun to (try to) dance to.

'Kiss From a Rose' by Seal - Say what you want about Seal, but he did snag one of the sexiest women alive, and this truly is one of the most romantic songs of the 90's (although it will always just make me think of Batman).

'All My Life' by K-Ci & JoJo - This is a very sweet song for a wedding party, and it's definitely family-friendly (the guy's lover is compared to just about all of his family members, after all; I think he did miss his third cousin on his father's side, though). It was one of the most beloved songs back in the day, and its hard to still not fall for this slice of 90's heaven.

'Baby One More Time' by Britney Spears - I couldn't help myself; just imagine how awkward all your guests will look trying to figure out how to dance and what to do when you play one of the most memorable songs of the 90's at your wedding party.

'Genie in a Bottle' by Christina Aguilera - This is one of the sexiest songs of the 90's because, let's face it, what woman doesn't want to dress up like a genie and belly dance? If you really want to have fun at your wedding party, follow what could become a new wedding trend, thanks to a YouTube video, and choreograph a sexy dance to this songs with your bridesmaids; you can even wear sexy genie-like outfits (if you could rip of your gowns and reveal them underneath, that would be awesome, but it's also one of those clips on a wedding bloopers TV show in the making).

'Everybody (Backstreet's Back)' by the Backstreet Boys - I didn't know where Backstreet was before this song, but they came and let teen girls know exactly where they were with some of the sexiest pop songs of the 90's. You could have the male members of your wedding party do a dance in response to your genie dance with song, but I wouldn't recommend trying to recreate the costumes from their music video (total 'Thriller' ripoff!).

'Fantasy' by Mariah Carey - It wouldn't be a 90's party without a Mariah Carey song, and since all of her songs sound so much the same to me, I just randomly picked one. Well, actually this one has an edge because it samples that addicting, unique music from the Tom Tom Club's 'Genius of Love'. Mariah Carey was one of the sexiest artists of the 90's, and is holding up in a very Madonna-like way so far.

'Baby Got Back' by Sir Mix-A-Lot - Let's face it; you have to play this song at your wedding reception party if you've got a sense of humor. Let's just hope all the old folks' hearing aids aren't working right during your wedding reception.

'I Knew I Loved You' by Savage Garden - I'll help the groom out and advise him to dedicate this sugary sweet song about soul mates to his new bride at the wedding party. It also wouldn't kill you to dance with her as often as you can to these chick songs.

'I'll Be' by Edwin McCain - This is a great guy song because it contains a great guy excuse: "I'll be even better when I'm older". Let's just hope so, ladies. (It's also a rather romantic song, too, I must admit). Nothing Compares 2U by Sinead O'Connor - I know Sinead gets no love now, but she did sing one of the most beautiful, heartfelt love songs of the 90's. If you can't get over the whole pope thing, then you're really missing out.

Nothing Compares 2U by Sinead O'Connor - I know Sinead gets no love now, but she did sing one of the most beautiful, heartfelt love songs of the 90's. If you can't get over the whole pope thing, then you're really missing out.

So enjoy reliving the 90's at your wedding with this wide variety of the sexiest songs of the era, and try to resist the temptation to get your guests doing the Macarena or the Electric Slide; unorganized, out-of-control dancing is so much better (just ask one of the biggest icons of the 90's, Elaine Benes).
